تمكن فريق دولي من العلماء والمختصين في علم الجيولوجيا وعلم الفضاء من حل لغز فوهة “سيلفر بيت” الغامضة، بعد أكثر من عشرين عامًا من الدراسات والجدل العلمي حول أصلها وطبيعتها.
وكانت فوهة “سيلفر بيت”، الواقعة في منطقة نائية وصعبة الوصول، مصدرًا للجدل بين العلماء منذ اكتشافها، حيث اعتقد البعض أنها نتيجة نشاط بركاني، بينما رجح آخرون أن تكون ناتجة عن تصادم نيزكي.
