يهودي ينفخ البوق في دمشق | Jewish Shofar in Damascus

قالت وسائل إعلام سورية إن “هنري حمرا”، مؤسس جمعية اليهود في إسرائيل، نفخ البوق اليهودي (الشوفار) داخل كنيس الفرنج في العاصمة السورية دمشق، بمناسبة رأس السنة ويوم الغفران اليهودي، لأول مرة منذ نحو 30 عاماً.
وقد وصل حمرا إلى سوريا الشهر الماضي برفقة وفد من اليهود السوريين المقيمين في الولايات المتحدة في زيارة نظّمتها “مؤسسة التراث اليهودي في سوريا” بدعم من “فريق الطوارئ السوري”.
وشملت الجولة أيضًا زيارة مواقع تاريخية رمزية مثل كنيس جوبر المدمر ومقبرة يهودية قديمة، في خطوة اعتُبرت رمزية من حيث استئناف الطقوس اليهودية التي توقفت لفترات طويلة نتيجة الأوضاع في البلاد.
وتداول مستخدمو مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي مقطع فيديو يظهر هنري حمرا وهو ينفخ الشوفار داخل الكنيس، مما أثار جدلاً واسعًا بين مؤيد ومعارض.

Syrian media reported that Henri Hamra, founder of the Jewish Association in Israel, blew the shofar inside the Al-Franj Synagogue in Damascus during the Jewish New Year and Yom Kippur, marking the first time this ritual has taken place in nearly 30 years.
Hamra arrived in Syria last month with a delegation of Syrian Jews residing in the United States, in a visit organized by the Jewish Heritage Foundation in Syria with support from the Syrian Emergency Team.
The tour also included visits to historic symbolic sites, such as the destroyed Jobar Synagogue and an ancient Jewish cemetery, in what was seen as a symbolic step to resume long-paused Jewish rituals due to the country’s previous unrest.
Social media users circulated a video showing Henri Hamra blowing the shofar inside the synagogue, sparking widespread discussion and reactions from both supporters and critics.
