تأجيل زيارة السفير الأميركي لمصر | US Envoy’s Visit to Egypt Postponed

أعلنت السفارة الأميركية في إسرائيل عن تأجيل زيارة السفير الأميركي لدى إسرائيل، مايك هاكابي، إلى القاهرة، والتي كانت مقررة في الأيام المقبلة لإجراء محادثات مع كبار المسؤولين المصريين.
وأوضحت السفارة أن الزيارة تم تأجيلها بسبب ظروف أمنية ودبلوماسية طارئة، مؤكدة أن المباحثات مع المسؤولين المصريين ستتم لاحقًا بعد تحديد موعد جديد.
وتأتي هذه الزيارة في وقت حساس يشهد توترًا متزايدًا في العلاقات بين مصر وإسرائيل نتيجة استمرار الأحداث في قطاع غزة، حيث كانت المحادثات المرتقبة تركز على:
سبل تهدئة التوترات بين مصر وإسرائيل.
مناقشة خطط وقف إطلاق النار في قطاع غزة.
تأكيد موقف مصر الثابت في دعم حقوق الفلسطينيين ورفض التهجير القسري.
وكان من المتوقع أن تكون هذه الزيارة الأولى من نوعها منذ سنوات، حيث لم يقم أي سفير أميركي لدى إسرائيل بزيارة القاهرة لفترة طويلة، ما يعكس أهمية الدور المصري في المنطقة وخاصة في جهود الوساطة لوقف النزاع والحفاظ على استقرار الحدود.
وأكدت المصادر أن الزيارة لم تُلغَ بالكامل، وإنما تم تأجيلها مع الإشارة إلى أن تنسيقها مستمر لضمان نجاح اللقاءات الدبلوماسية عند تحديد موعدها الجديد.

The visit comes at a sensitive time, amid rising tensions between Egypt and Israel due to the ongoing situation in the Gaza Strip. The planned discussions were set to focus on:
Ways to ease tensions between Egypt and Israel.
Discussions on US plans for a ceasefire in Gaza.
Reaffirming Egypt’s consistent stance in supporting Palestinian rights and rejecting forced displacement.
This visit was expected to be the first of its kind in years, as no US ambassador to Israel has visited Cairo for a long time, reflecting the strategic importance of Egypt’s role in the region, especially in mediating the conflict and maintaining border stability.
Sources confirmed that the visit is not canceled, only postponed, and coordination continues to ensure the success of diplomatic meetings once a new date is determined.
